start credit applicationNissan is aiming for November 19th, 2019 to be the day they release what the new 2020 Nissan Sentra will look like. Nissan will debut its new vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The Japanese automaker recently introduced their latest new vehicle, the all-new Sylphy in China earlier in 2019, but the Sentra will be the compact counterpart released here in the United States. The 2020 Sentra was made for all of North America and is set to have a new update. One difference the Sentra is expected to have is the removal of manual and only providing an automatic driving experience. The standard base trim is expected to be automatic with a continuously variable transmission. The current Sentra S, the base trim, starts at $17,900 MSRP for the manual and the CVT automatic version starts at $18,680 MSRP.
Enhanced and Better Than Before
Improvements to the 2020 Nissan Sentra are blatant and noticeable thanks to an improved engine. An upgrade to the powertrain adds 25 more horsepower from 124 to 149 horsepower and a decent 145 lb-ft of torque, which is an increase of 20 lb-ft of torque. The Nissan Sentra could still have the manual gearbox as a report saw a 2020 Sentra being tested that carried a six-speed manual gearbox level. Another report has the Nissan Sentra losing the torsion beam rear setup and replacing that with a multi-link suspension as a standard option across all trims. This will allow drivers to enjoy making sharper turns and provide better driveability. Some reports believe the Sylphy is only going to be changed in name and rebranded here as the Sentra, but we won’t know till next week. The Nissan Sylphy has been quite successful in Japan and the 2020 Sentra will look very similar, that much we know.
Standard Features Galore
Still not impressed? How does the Nissan Safety Shield 360 equipment standard for all trims sound? This includes top-level safety features like lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, and automatic high beams. Drivers are going to get more with the 2020 Nissan Sentra. A sleek, compact car that offers plenty of standard features, including day-time running lamps and a premium cabin with a 7-inch instrument cluster screen and tons of storage space for customers to enjoy.
