Initially teased during the announce of Stellantis business strategy for the decade, Dare Forward 2030, Ram gave a slight glimpse at its all-electric Ram 1500. Making its first debut at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Ram Revolution name stuck, and the automaker called it the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept. The Ram 1500 REV then showed up at the 2023 Chicago Auto Show, and again at the 2023 New York International Auto Show, now bragging about a target range of 500 miles. Check out all the highlights about the 2025 Ram 1500 REV.
“The all-electric Ram 1500 REV is a monumental milestone on our continued journey to offer the industry’s best electrified solutions and further fortifies our award-winning lineup…We believe in bringing the right range of powertrain solutions to our customers and will continue to redefine the pickup truck segment. Our all-new Ram 1500 REV pushes past the competition in areas customers care about most, including range, towing, payload and charge time.” - Mike Koval Jr., Ram brand CEO – Stellantis
Power
Built on the all-new STLA Frame, the Ram 1500 REV comes with two electric drive modules (EDMs) and will offer two all-electric power options. The standard powertrain is a 168-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery with a targeted all-electric range (AER) of up to 350 miles. Consumers can upgrade to a 229-kWh large battery pack with a targeted AER of up to 500 miles. New data shows that the REV can also add 110 miles of range (10 more since the last quote) in just 10 minutes of charging with 800-volt DC fast charging at up to 350 kW. Also capable of vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-grid bi-directional charging, the Ram 1500 REV is basically a battery on wheels, able to provide up to 7.2 kW via the truck bed, plus an available onboard power panel in the front trunk that can provide up to 3.6 kW.
With all that power distribution, one may wonder how much the Ram 1500 REV can lift, or in this case, tow. Able to generate up to 654 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque, has a maximum towing capacity of 14,000 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of 2,700 pounds. Made to be as capable as modern Ram 1500 models, off-road performance is a given, and the 1500 REV can handle up to 24 inches of water. Available in five trims, the 2025 Ram 1500 REV is available in five trims, including the Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Limited and an all-new trim, Tungsten. Later in the model year, the Ram 1500 REV XR will be introduced.
Style
A new style introduces a new look for the electrified future of Ram models. Starting with the front fascia, signature lit “tuning fork” premium LED headlamps and a lit R-A-M badge embolden the one-touch power operated front trunk, with a best-in-class 15 cubic-feet of space available. Still drawn up with muscular body lines, the new hood sculpts the look of the exterior and a profile that stretches to equip 20- or 22-inch all-terrain tires. In the rear, an all-new power tailgate and another modern R-A-M badge shape up with an all-new, EV-specific, premium LED taillight design on the tailgate. Consumers will find the charging port integrated into the driver’s side front quarter panel. It illuminates with blinking premium LED lighting and supports Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging on the top half and DC fast charging on the bottom half. The highly versatile, weatherproof, lockable, convenient RamBox is also available on the new 2025 Ram 1500 REV.
The first all-electric Ram 1500, the interior needs to be a little more upscale with premium textures, colors, and materials, including carbon-fiber, metal, and leather. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a segment-first 10.25-inch passenger screen greet the driver and front-passenger. An e-shifter controls more than gears – it also offers an eco mode, one-touch button opening for the front trunk, new regeneration settings (normal or one-pedal), a redesigned starter button, and push-button trailer steering knob.
Introducing the new Ram 1500 REV Tungsten trim, this ultra-premium experience comes with an Indigo/Sea Salt interior with new platinum patina/semi-bright dual-textured metal accents, diamond knurling, suede-wrapped headliner, A- and B-pillars and visors. The driver and front passenger seats are 24-way power adjustable with memory settings and a massage function, power lumbar support, and four-way powered headrests, heated and ventilated, and trimmed in premium quilted leather. The Tungsten badge on the center console also features inlaid lettering and diamond knurling, the vehicle identification number (VIN), brushed platinum patina aluminum litho bezels, a unique shifter center cap, all-new dual wireless chargers, and a metal pedal kit.
Tech
Equipped with the most advanced Uconnect system ever, the Uconnect 5 and a 14.5-inch touchscreen display features split-screen capability. The 10.25-inch passenger screen provides three major functions: navigation and device management, entertainment (via HDMI), and viewing exterior vehicle cameras. A full-color HUD can expand up to 10-inches and features and can provide different kinds of content at once, including Lane Departure, Lane Keep Assist, adaptive cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation, current speed, current gear, and speed limit. All settings for the HUD can be personalized and saved into a driver profile.
A new EV Pages system offer the driver a variety of information, including power flow, range impact (how to increase range and reduce energy consumption), driving history, charge schedules, plug & charge (authorizes payments when plugged into a compatible charging station, max battery level, charging level, and the driver’s digital cluster display featuring one pedal driving, EV gauges (current power, regen, range, and battery temperature), adaptive cruise control, active driving assist, drowsy driver detection, and speed limit traffic signs display.
A traditional key fob is standard, but digital is the future, and consumers can use their smartphone as a key with the Ram app, able to access and start the vehicle with their smartphone in proximity of the vehicle. Digital keys can be created to share access with other smartphone uses. A card key is also available as backup.
The new Ram 1500 Tungsten trim also offers a pretty fancy audio system as the new standard - an ultra-premium Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system. That includes 23 speakers and a high-performing 12-inch subwoofer. It’s a great way to listen to your favorite beats.
