The rise of Ram EVs will all start with the launch of the 2025 Ram 1500 REV. We’ve learned the new-generation pickup will be built offering five trims including the Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Limited as well as the debut of an all-new trim, the Tungsten. Dare Forward Program Goes Ahead

This new pickup will be a major part of Ram’s main contribution to Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan. This is a major program by the parent company of Ram, Stellantis, is to offer innovative, clean, safe and affordable mobility solutions. As part of Dare Forward 2030, Stellantis is investing billions through 2025 in electrification and software to offer battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) that meet customer demands.  The all-new 2025 Ram 1500 REV XR with class-topping range will be highly sought-after with the debut of the fully-electric Ram 1500 REV.

Ram is putting up their own electrified flag that waves proudly with segment-leading capability, strength, performance and efficiency, the Ram 1500 REV offers for drivers a new level of EV heights with dual 250-kilowatt electric drive modules (EDMs) that combine the motor, gearbox and inverter and add all-wheel drive capabilities. The 2025 Ram 1500 REV includes an automatic wheel-end disconnect that allows the front wheels to rotate freely in certain conditions, maximizing efficiency. A 250-kilowatt EDM is positioned on the rear axle available with an electronic-locking rear differential. Ram is pulling out all the stops.

Ram Pushes EV Support To New Levels

What has all the millions invested by Ram done to increase EV output for drivers? Quite a lot. The standard 168 kilowatt-hour battery pack has a range of up to 350 miles and the optional 229 kilowatt-hour large battery pack has a targeted range of up to an unprecedented 500 miles. Both can add up to 110 miles of range in just 10 minutes with 800-volt DC fast charging at up to 350 kW, offering owners a fast and convenient recharging solution. Drivers will gain an easier way to charge their Ram with vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-home and vehicle-grid bi-directional charging that can send power to a home during a storm, run the tailgate party or provide power at the camp or jobsite. An on-board power panel in the bed can give 7.2 kW while the available on-board power panel in the frunk adds up to 3.6 kW. 

The 2025 Ram 1500 REV rides on an all-new STLA Frame designed specifically for full-size electric vehicles. The Ram is built on a body-on-frame design. The all-new high-strength steel frame is made of advanced materials to be lightweight yet sturdy and strong. The STLA Frame is wider in the middle to efficiently incorporate the battery pack while still utilizing protection held by the frame rails. We expect the all-new Ram 1500 REV to debut in 2024, just over a year or so from now when the fall arrives.
