The 2019 New York International Auto Show has come and gone, signaling the end of the auto show run for this season with some of the best in innovation for last. Highlighted by the 2020 Jeep Gladiator pickup, 2020 Kia Telluride and HabaNiro concept, as well as the 2020 Hyundai Palisade. For anyone looking for the latest in innovation and remarkable craftsmanship, these are the vehicles that stood out to us.

Jeep Has the Latest and Greatest Mid-Size Pickup

Jeep outdid themselves with an incredible debut in their all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The mid-size pickup was made based on the iconic Jeep Wrangler design and comes complete with best-in-class towing and 4x4 payload with unmatched offroad abilities. Owners will have a fuel-efficient vehicle that supplies ample power with the 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle was a hit among viewers at the New York International Auto Show for good reason. Unquestionably a solid, beautiful pickup that offers versatility and all the perks that make the Jeep Wrangler special; removable doors, roof, and even windshield. Taking the top off and driving freely is what makes Jeep vehicles so fun.  The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is highly popular and begins at $33,545 MSRP.

Kia Surprises With New and Remarkable Technology

The Kia HaraNiro is an electric vehicle concept that looks something out of the future. The sleek looking HaraNiro has large 20-inch wheels and an expected 300 miles of range with plans to include level-five autonomous mode. The windshield can turn into a head-up display that can be used to screen anything to watch (YouTube, videos, movies, anything!) as long as the driver isn’t moving. The 2020 HabaNiro is outfitted with Real-time Emotion Adaptive Driving (R.E.A.D.). This system is able to keep track of a driver and note their emotional state. This is new technology, an artificial intelligence-based bio-signal recognition technology that will help make the roads safer. Read more about it here.

Hyundai Shines With More SUV Options

SUVs were among the most common vehicle category at the New York International Auto Show. Hydunai debuted their seventh SUV to their line-up with the 2020 Hydunai Venue, but it’s 121-horsepower 1.6-Liter four-cylinder engine wasn’t as impressive as the Hyundai Palisade. However, the most attractive item about the new SUV is the price expected to be less than $20,000. Expected to debut in summer 2019, the Hyundai Palisade is the flagship premium crossover SUV for Hydunai. With three-row seating, a large cargo area, an industry-first, new roof vent diffuser design that allows for a partially-diffused or fully-diffused stream of air to all rear guests.

The 2020 Palisade is equipped with the 3.8-Liter V6 engine with CVVT, direct-injected engine that supplies owners with 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain is mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel-drive is an available option for all trim levels. This vehicle should be the eventual replacement of the Sante Fe XL. The price of this vehicle is expected to be between $32,000 up to $50,000 MSRP.
