For U.S. News & World Report, the process was simple. All-year-long, the organization provides consumers with an in-depth analysis of vehicles, published reviews and test drives, as well as reliability and safety data. Then, based on safety scores, reliability data, and the consensus of the automotive press, U.S. News ranks each automotive brand. The automaker with the highest average rating took home the title of the best in its respective class, and Ram won the Best Truck Brand for 2021 out of 34 competitors for the second year in a row.

Car and Driver is well known for providing consumers with in-depth reviews and analysis, features, and car buying advice since 1955. To land on a 10Best list, a vehicle has to excel. Car and Driver rates vehicles on a 100-point scale that measures three simple things: purpose, value, and motivation. Each car has a purpose - is it sporty, a family car, an SUV? How well it meets this definition and performs as intended is one part of the score. Car and Driver also measures the value of the vehicle and how motivated the consumer is to operate it. Not everyone has an amazing car, but we’ve all had one that just made us groan at least once when we had to get behind the wheel.

Ram won again, landing on the Car and Driver 10Best list. Not only that, but the Ram 1500 is the only pickup truck to nab a spot this year. This isn’t a first for Ram either. The Ram 1500 has landed on the Car and Driver 10Best list for the last three years. What a winner!
