Stellantis, the parent company of Dodge, is building vehicles that customers want to drive. Electric options and alternatives are a part of that. New Jeep rides are coming out all the time, but there is one adjustment being made. but it will not be built with chrome at all, and that will also be the case for other future Stellantis models.

No More Chrome For Stellantis

This is a fix that head of design for Stellantis, Ralph Gilles, stated to media outlets. This is an easy fix for the brand as they only have so many plants that produce any given vehicle. Those plants will modify their process and remove chrome as a result. Given this isn’t the start of the century, most consumers haven’t asked for this palette on new models. Jeep is the main brand we will focus on as they have led the way for Stellantis offering the most electrified rides and PHEV rides up to this point with its 4xe trim.

"The brand is in transition; we need to gain market penetration and market share because it's not where this brand deserves to be. And Jeep is also in a technological transition. Because it's transitioning into electrification while it keeps freedom to choose for its consumer. And this transition is launching a new technology, in this case, BEV and a new nameplate, Jeep Avenger in Europe. We have the best-selling SUV in the U.S., as Jeep we own these markets and did more than 50 percent of the market share of the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) industry. It's a very strong foundation to start building this transition," Filosa revealed at a media event in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
